WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE UNIVERSITY

In our lives, we must go study higher education in order to reach our goals. To achieve the higher education we want to acquire, we need to go to colleges or universities. Universities are no doubt, the ultimate floor to take a step in your dreams. They are nothing like high schools and infamous colleges, here's why:

1. SCHOOL RATING

When you start to study at a University, expect teachers brag the accomplishments of their school. Well, it's not that bad to be proud of something but, in my opinion, it creates a division where students look down on other students just because they do not study in the same university. Nevertheless, teachers might be doing this not because they want us to look down on others, but to stay loyal and proud to their school.

2. PRESSURE

Going to school is pressure enough, but universities give more! Unlike the high school you are from, universities give standard workloads to students. Now, it may not sound that bad but imagine all subject teachers give workloads and you need to pass it all on one week, or on worst case scenario, on your finals week! Here, you really need to have a great skill in time management or else, you'll fail.

3. REPORTERS

Professors and teachers here are far more intelligent than teachers on lower education. This is because of the standards of universities for them. Although they are really smart, they do not completely spoon-feed all their lessons. They make it sure that students should grasp knowledge on their own while just giving some pointers. Your subject teachers will not also make the test papers on midterms and finals, that's why they try their best to cover all lessons that are compulsory even if it means not waiting for the whole class to understand.

4. TOXIC PEOPLE

Now, toxic people are everywhere but they usually begin in school. Beware of any new possible friends that may look nice because they might stab your soul hard. If ever there is someone, just do not take anything that person says personally because it will just hurt you, even if he's just lying and/or joking around.

5. FOODS SCAM

Everything in the university is scam. Well not literally but the things are just so expensive that you might feel like you have been robbed. Small quantities of goods for expensive prices. Aside from great management skills you have to possess, you also need the skill of a budget-er, to help you survive the jungle in the university.

In studying in the university, you must be wary of all the things around you, study smart, and enjoy your university life because although we will face challenges, do not forget to remind yourself that you are still a human and a human needs fun once in a while.
